The Celiac trunk (CT) is the first major branch of the abdominal aorta and is responsible for supplying oxygen-rich blood to the stomach, spleen, liver, oesophagus, and also parts of the pancreas and duodenum.It arises from the abdominal aorta at the level of the twelfth thoracic vertebrae. It gives off three major branches called left gastric, common hepatic and splenic arteries. The ultrasound appearance of the CT is peculiar as resemble a seagull silhouette.
